Our team is heading to Utrecht next week to present at the WHO European Healthy Cities Network Business Meeting and Technical Conference! This event will bring together political representatives from cities across Europe, providing a platform to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the WHO European Healthy Cities Network, in conjunction with the 75th year of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Amber De La Haye and Ruth Gow will be representing our team at the conference, delivering an oral presentation titled ‘Healthy Cities: deploying the full potential of Health as an urban planning tool’. This presentation will highlight our multidisciplinary approach and showcase recent projects from various cities, where the team combined theory and practice to deliver health in a range of urban settings. The aim of the presentation is to emphasise the importance of integrating health in the planning process, and of fostering cross-departmental collaboration for effective urban interventions.
Our goal is to advocate for the integration of health as a fundamental component of urban planning, promoting healthier and more sustainable communities. By participating in this conference, we hope not only to celebrate the achievements of the Healthy Cities Network but also to contribute valuable insights to further advance the cause of urban health and well-being for all.
This event serves as a key platform for cross-sectoral dialogue and collaboration, and we look forward to engaging with fellow participants, exchanging ideas, and collectively exploring new paths for enhancing healthy urban planning.
