Marta Rofin is a member of faculty on the Master in Health Promotion and Community Health at the University of the Basque Country.
Health Promotion and Community Health (HP and CH) are basic pillars of development and social well-being. The Master’s Degree is oriented towards acquiring knowledge and tools for the development of interventions in HP and CH, reorienting the current biomedical health model towards a biopsychosocial model. To this end, the fundamentals of health and its social determinants, health promotion and the positive vision of health will be worked on.
This Master course reviews the different approaches to work in HP and CH, from action in the territory and with communities, to the promotion of healthy environments and policies, and will address the improvement of health behaviours from a focus on promoting life skills and emotional well-being. Finally, basic tools will be acquired for the design, development and evaluation of interventions in HP and CH.
