Client: Wirral Council
Location: Wirral, UK
Wirral Council aims to be an active frontrunner in establishing healthy and safe living environments, with numerous upcoming urban development schemes designed to improve the livability and health of residents. This work aligns with the outputs of the Healthy Cities Generator, a planning tool that helps incorporate health determinants into planning and planning actions into health policy. Wirral Council recognises a need and opportunity to connect planning and health.
Within the framework of the project, a health impact assessment of the 3 alternatives developed for the Seacombe River Corridor Master Plan was carried out, allowing for a comparison of their health outputs.
